Personality: Kendra wants her Tributes to succeed, and actually prefers spending time with them as opposed to going out and lobbying for them. She's pretty horrible at the whole social game of getting Sponsors and hanging with the other Victors, but she'll do whatever it takes to help her kids out. However, this is not to be confused with her becoming attached to her Tributes. She has difficulty forming emotional connections to pretty much anything, and is very easily irritated. Kendra appreciates hard work and dedication and won't deal with anyone's shit.

Kendra had a lot to prove, and couldn't stand her family any more, volunteering a year early to shut them up. No one in her family thought she had what it took to make it in the Games, so she was pulled from training after only two years. Being the only thing she really enjoyed, Kendra continued to practice on her free time, sneaking into the small training facilities after hours- which was fairly easy because the program was still in its infancy.
It took everyone by surprise when she volunteered, and she ended up getting into a fight with several other girls who had been through years of formal training. Although she lacked technique and finesse, Kendra didn't back down and managed to squirm her way on top, taking the place from several well trained volunteers.
It wasn't a popular move- her family refused to see her off because of what they were sure was the dumbest decision of her life, and her district mate didn't really give her the time of day. She spent most of the preliminaries on her own, working on survival skills in training, despite her lack of weapon handling. Between not playing the social game with the Careers, and her low score of 6, she further alienated herself from the Career group.
Her arena was an industrial wasteland- and aside from the initial bloodshed at the Cornucopia, the majority of the deaths were arena related. The sky was perpetually grey and smoggy due to poor air quality, there were no natural resources, and all food and water that was made available to the Tributes were either rotten, toxic, or otherwise unsanitary. Kendra gained points with the Capitol audience at the Cornucopia, taking out the girl from District 4 with a crow bar, before making quick work of the boy from 12 and booking it. It was the only item she picked up.
For most of the Games, she stayed concealed, moving around the corroded metal jungle fairly easily, and stealing from Tributes who were otherwise occupied or sleeping. She tried her best to conserve energy and avoid confrontation, but in one attempt to steal some food from the district five girl, she suffered a pretty hard blow to the head. The other girl freaked out, and Kendra was able to get away. Soon she found herself left with both Tributes from six (who had managed to take out the majority of the Career pack), and the boys from five and eight. She watched the duo from six take out the boy from eight before turned on each other. As they neared the end of their fight, both looking battered and bruised, Kendra took advantage of the opportunity and beat them to death, again with the crow bar. By this point, she could feel the effects of her head injury, suffering from severe dizziness and headaches. She was in so much pain, she didn't notice the last Tribute from five, approach her with bat. The final fight was messy and long, she suffered a broken wrist, and a couple broken ribs, before she was able to jam her crow bar in the other Tribute's mouth and and ripping away mercilessly, before beating his head in several times.
